Today was the day. Brian stood in front of the mirror looking at himself. He had to look just right for this. When he noticed a strand of fur out of place he huffed then shook his fur out. Instead of helping, it just made more of a mess. He huffed once more, the noise coming out of his nose. Maybe she wouldn’t care, hopefully she wouldn’t care. The miralta turned and sighed. He felt like he was cheating on his forever mate, Jan. It felt so wrong, but she encouraged it. Turning toward the door of the barn his mate and he called home, the rough furred miralta began to walk, heading toward where he would meet his blind date. It took Brian roughly an hour to get to the meeting location, just outside of Nanooks Rest, beside the familiar looking statue. His furred brows pulled together, and he looked down at his pink claws. He was here first, he really hoped she would have been, then he wouldn’t have been awkwardly standing around. While he waited for her, he kicked a small pebble around.
